The Maricel Palace belonged to a multimillionaire American collector, Charles Deering. In 1910, after falling under the spell of Sitges, he bought the old hospital of San Juan Bautista and the neighbouring houses to build this sublime palace, which became one of the most important monuments of the city. Inside, you can admire many works of art from all eras as well as two wonderful salons, the Saló d'Or and the Saló Blau. The terraces offer a privileged view of the Mediterranean Sea.

10 ans après, je retrouve la même plaisir de dîner au Maricel. Cuisine gastronomique pour le menu dégustation et service attentionné. Le restaurant classique incontournable de Sitges. Félicitations au chef et à son fils.

Ce restaurant qui se revendique Michelin (panonceau de 2018!) n’est pas à la hauteur de notre célèbre guide. Les plats servis sont très bons, bien présentés. Mais malheureusement ni l’accueil, ni l’organisation, ni la décoration (fleurs fanées du bouquet d’accueil à l’entrée, sur notre table et au comptoir). Cela est dommage car cela pourrait être un très bel endroit.

Très bon repas avec un service impeccable. Peut être un peu cher, mais la qualité est la. Un seul petit bémol. Ils font payer le pain 3.70 euros par personne. A 80 euros par tête, c'est un peu dommage.
