Visit the castle of Sant Joan de Lloret, which traces the history of the small village and its castle to the beginning of the 11th century

At the top of the hill separating Lloret beach from Fenals beach, the castle of Sant Joan de Lloret recounts the history of the small village and its castle in the early 11th century. After many destructions due to battles, bombings, storms and earthquakes, it has been protected by its status of "property of cultural interest" since 1949. This also allowed for some excavations and the restoration of its keep, now transformed into a museum. Its visit is also an opportunity to enjoy beautiful views of the city.

18 CHÂTEAU DE SANT JOAN Lioret de Mare
Situé sur un promontoire ce château domine la ville d’une façon très imposante. Accès par la cote (petit parking en contre bas) en montant quelques marches. Le château ne se visite pas mais en contrepartie, magnifique panorama sur Lioret de Mare et la mer. Continuité de la ballade en suivant le sentier.
