On a small hill in the middle of the plain, this large village can be seen from afar. With the Sant Pere church and the majestic Tower of the Hours, one of the few remains of the old castle and the town's landmark, as a backdrop. Particularly well restored, its Gothic walls have been classified as an asset of national cultural interest. A visit will take you through its narrow streets and arcades, and the right climb will eventually take you to the Josep Pla mirador for a panoramic view of the Empordà: from the Pyrenees to the Medes Islands, with rice fields in the foreground. The culture associated with this area since the 15th century.
