RESTAURANT LA CALA

Spanish restaurant €€

In one of the streets parallel to the sea paseo, this small family restaurant offers traditional Catalan cuisine according to the seasons, sometimes with themes that invite you to table such as fungi or urchins. In general there will be a lot of fish (wolf, turbo, Catalan cod, lotte to gambas…), seafood and even a guaranteed Valencian paella for amateurs. At the disposal to savor the whole, two small dining rooms with a slightly outdated but charming look with fishing nets on the wall and terrace on the street, from the beautiful days.

Without being the place where you will come to spend fortunes, this Margarita allows a pleasant tapeo, well installed in edge of sea. Beautiful white space and large terrace facing the sea on a pretty square with trees. You can opt for the traditional homemade croquettes, quite acceptable, but also prawn skewers or mini chicken burgers. Otherwise, the menu also includes the classics of the Iberian tapeo: braved potatoes, ham, small fish fry and even snails a la plancha.

LA FALCONERA

Mediterranean cuisine restaurant €€

Its minimalist decor is punctuated with photos of the Punta Falconera, a cape located south of Cap de Creus, which gave the restaurant its name. Fish, shellfish, paella, suquet de peix, but also beautiful meats and carpaccio are logically on the menu of this place, which is part of the gastronomic collective " la cuina del vent ", which aims to highlight the products of the High Empordan. Just let yourself be guided by these passionate people and enjoy some of the suggestions of the day and the cart of desserts, much appreciated by the regulars.

CA LA VALERIA

Mediterranean cuisine restaurant

After working in other restaurants in Roses, it was in February 2009 that Enzo and Mara decided to open their own restaurant, named after their daughter. On the menu you can find the classics of the region, paellas, fideuàs or suquets de peix (fish stew). You can start with an omelette with gambas and asparagus, but for dessert we recommend the homemade tiramisu, the only concession made to the owners' Italian origins. To be enjoyed on the small terrace overlooking a very quiet square.
