The largest museum in the city, and the most exciting of the country, is well designed and presents very interesting pieces. One can admire a great Buddha sleeping 13 m long found in the Varch region and dated the fifth century. Beautiful frescoes and statues are also exposed, classified according to the excavation site in which they were found. For the rest: vases, collections of currencies and jewelry align in ds dozens of displays in a somewhat anarchic manner. Signs in English at the entrance to each room explain the history of the various archeological sites.
