From Sydney to Rio, Tokyo to Mombasa, Do Forni has often participated in the export of Venetian specialties through gastronomic events on all continents. But eating at Do Forni, a historic restaurant in the heart of the San Marco district, remains a unique experience. The menu is well thought out and offers mainly fish and seafood dishes. These refined dishes, combined with a 1930s decor, are ingredients that attract guests, including celebrities.

We ordered raw oysters to end up with food poisoning. The lemons that were served with the oyster the out back in a dish to serve to someone else. They violated so many food codes. I guess the board of health doesn’t control restaurants in Italy. Watching the waiters pick up raw fish with their hands and bring it back to the kitchen.
The pasta with calms was okay. Not what I expected for the prices they charge.
