Situated at an altitude of just under 600 m at the entrance to the Val Clavalité, Fénis is a typical small village protected by a thick forest of chestnut trees. Numerous hiking trails allow you to visit this long valley which goes up to the Mount Avic and Mount Emilius massifs. However, the main attraction of Fénis lies in its fabulous medieval castle, one of the main tourist attractions of the whole Aosta Valley. Opposite, Nus also has its assets: a fortified house, terraced vineyards as well as the beautiful valley of Saint-Barthélémy and its many cross-country ski trails. Further down towards Saint-Vincent, the village of Chambave is surrounded by muscat vines; on the slopes overlooking the valley are the villages of Verrayes and Saint-Denis, the latter having a small ruined castle.
