Pully is 3 km from Ouchy, the port of Lausanne. It's an easy and pleasant walk along the quays of Lake Geneva. It's also easy to reach Pully by bus or train. Pully, a former winegrowing village, has become very attractive for its climate and certain advantages linked to Swiss taxation. Between 1950 and 1970, it became a town of almost 18,000 inhabitants. Famous residents include poet and writer Charles Ferdinand Ramuz, playwright Jean Anouilh, filmmaker Henri Verneuil, painter Marius Borgeaud and General Guisan.
