The Val Gardena passes offer an exceptional panorama. It is also the favourite place for mountaineers who give their heart to joy. By car, along the routes leading to it, you have the opportunity to stop in panoramic restaurants, or picnic on wooden benches and tables of «rest» points. Sometimes even one falls on small shelters that offer a tasting of "homemade milk". Obviously, you will think of taking a little wool, because even in the summer, the cold is felt.Passo Sella (2 237 m). It's one of the most famous Cols passes in the Dolomites. Caught between the Sasso Lungo and the Sella massif, it marks the linguistic boundary between Alto Adige and Trentino. The panorama is unique. From the rocky Harsh of the Sella to the green landscape of the Alpe di Seiser it is a walking route of about six hours. The departure takes place at the Passo Sella airport, located 2 218 m away, and then take Trail 594 towards Rodella pass. After a march of 45 min, we arrive on the slope of the Sasso Piatto, followed by Trail 617, dedicated to Federico Augusto. On each yaw, the view is expanded and the panorama becomes more majestic, until you arrive at the Sasso Piatto refuge from where you will continue to the Giogo refuge. Trail No. 7, which becomes No. 525, crosses the meadows of Alpe di Seiser to Mount Pana.Passo Pordoi (2 239 m), this grassland pass between the Sass Pordoi and the Sass Beccè, on horseback between the valleys of Nimes and Cordevole, is available all year round. It opens on the show of the Dolomites. The descent leads to the Cordevole valley, the upper part of which houses the Ladino communauté community. The road runs through large pastures, still exploited by farmers. It jam hay until the snow allows for carriage by sled. You can borrow from the cable car that drives us on "The Dolomites Terrace" at 2 950 m altitude (open from 9 am to 17 pm. 11 € return). From there, an impressive view extends over almost the entire Dolomites region, from the Tofane to the Pelmo and the Pale di San Martino. The Marmolada Glacier and the Beauty mountain are nearby. Rocks with sharp, often bizarre shapes occur on pasture and forest areas alone. As the day progresses and following the seasons and clouds, lights and colours change. The road of the Passo Gardena leads to the Val Badia, a deep valley, surrounded by meadows and dominated by the Massif massif. The lower valley is a landed parade, bordered on both sides by forests. The ladino population speaks the badiotto dialect. The houses of the villages are typical. In the upper valley, at Villa Stern, you can climb with the cable car at Piz la Villa (2 077 m) from where you can enjoy a beautiful view. The lift of San Lorenzo connects Pedràces to the Croda di Santa Croce (1 840 m).
