Sligo is the administrative center of the county but, above all, the home of the Irish poet and playwright, William Butler Yeats, who left his mark on the town and its region. There are few historic buildings left in Sligo apart from the abbey, but the town is a good starting point for exploring the county. From O'Connell Street, where cafes and pubs are concentrated, you can reach Tobbergall Lane. At the end of the lane, you will find Rock Wood Parade, which runs along the banks of the Garavogue River. By following it on the right, we arrive after 15 min of walk at Dooley Park. By bike, you can go around the lake surrounded by woods
