This quiet village is close to some of the most impressive scenery in the region. To the north lies the magnificent Lough Inagh valley, well worth a visit. The road leading to it from Recess is a real beauty. From Ballynahinch Castle, there are many walks to take in the breathtaking scenery. One of the most picturesque is The Railway Walk, which follows the route of the old railroad. Recess was served by train until 1936, and the charming little station can still be found just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
