Kilmalkedar will allow you to discover the Irish Romanesque art. The two porches of the church ruins (12th century), in a row, will remind you of those of the Cormac Chapel in Cashel and the porch of Dysert O'Dea. The arcades are carved with circles or broken lines and the main porch has a head in the middle that seems to be the keystone of the building. The stones of the porch have been singularly eroded by time, and are as if gnawed, hollowed out from within.
