Killorglin is a charming little town of less than 2,000 inhabitants, on the banks of the River Laune. And it's obviously a very touristy little town, since it's a choice stopover for the many explorers of the famous Ring of Kerry, the 179 km circular route around the Iveragh peninsula. An eight-arched bridge, which has stood over the river since 1885, can be seen in the village. In August of each year, Killorglin celebrates its three-day Puck Fair, a traditional festival featuring the capture of a wild goat, accompanied by a livestock fair.
