Malahide is a small, picturesque seaside town 16 km north of the Irish capital. Despite a great residential and commercial expansion since the 18th century, making it one of the most affluent places in County Dublin, Malahide has retained much of its charming village atmosphere. Its main attractions are the park, the castle, whose oldest parts date back to the 12th century, and the charming little harbor. A stop in Malahide can be an excellent way to discover the north of the district, for a nice walk in the calm and serenity, far from the hustle and bustle of Dublin.
