Kilsbergen is a low mountain ridge that separates Närke from Värmland. It is the southernmost extension of the Scandinavian taiga and has unusual flora and fauna for this latitude. There are several ski and hiking facilities in Kilsbergen. 17 km from the city. Follow Erkesvägen, direction Norra. In winter, you can ski on some of the slopes even when Örebro is not snowed in, thanks to snow cannons. In summer, it is a paradise for hikers, kayakers, cyclists and swimmers in the forest lakes. You can pitch your tent for the night. Restaurant on site.
