Read moreArchipelago Boat Day! At the beginning of June, the entire fleet of steamers and other passenger ships leave Strömkajen for the island of Vaxholm, an hour and a half from the capital. A joyful party was held in the small town. The occasion to see the "steam fleet" leave Stockholm! This festivity was first celebrated in 1964 with steam ships. Since then, the event has grown to include several ships from the archipelago and thousands of passengers and spectators!
