Founded in 1788, the country's national theater is known as Dramaten. The theater is state-owned, and the government's mission is to present classical theater, newly written Swedish and international theater, and theater suitable for children. The current director and artistic director is Mattias Andersson. The building on Stockholm's Nybroplan has housed the theater since 1908. This large art building is structured over five floors.

Ce théâtre dramatique se love dans un superbe bâtiment, du moins sa façade. Pas eu l'occasion de rentre à l'intérieur.
