Leaving Bogor, you quickly fall into pure Javanese nature: waterfalls, equatorial forest, lush tea plantations... On the Bogor-Bandung road, shortly before Cipanas after the Puncak pass, a fork leads to Cibodas. Cibodas is an excellent starting point for visiting Gede Pangrango Park. The scenery is delightful.There are several affordable hotel establishments, although comfort is rather basic (shared sanitary facilities without hot water). It's best to opt for the guesthouses, which are often set in superb flower gardens with incredible views of the surrounding area.
