Travel Guide Dagbego

At 25 km from Sassandra, there is a region of great beauty: the neyo country, an ethnic group of the Krou family. The relief is hilly, planted with primary forests and criss-crossed by small wild rivers. The village of Dagbego takes its name from the river Dagbé which flows into the Atlantic Ocean at the level of a lagoon. But nature is taking back its rights: the village is now in ruins and almost abandoned, swallowed up by the inexorable rise of the waters.
