It is always with great tenderness and a pinch at the heart that we evoke this beautiful institutional establishment created by the late Alpha Touré, who died in 2015. A vital character of the basamese life, attaching to the possible and overflowing with energy, man claimed himself as a "pure product of Mr. Trigano", under which he had learned the basics of the hotel by browsing the world. Full of ideas and initiatives, Alpha was not in place, always finalizing a project without forgetting to inquire about customer satisfaction. The many totems that you will see in the foyer and garden of the hotel are his own creations that he made in his personal workshop. In their time, they have met such success that some have even exported to the United States, and one likes to think that in their aged wood, the Alpha males have found a refuge and caring for this hotel to which it has so much. The continuity of his work is now assured by his wife and daughter, who certainly put a lot of care and energy into perpetuating the legacy of their loved one. Indeed, especially since refreshing work has been undertaken, difficult to find anything to say about Koral Beach. We eat a varied and varied cuisine mixing African, European and North American flavors (gaspacho, shrimp sweet potatoes, Caesar salad or lobster, bar filet Pernod sauce, tagliatelles shrimp, braised lobster, churros chocolate sauce, pancakes. Pineapple jam.), it is well welcomed and well treated, the rooms are comfortable (top bedding) and elegantly decorated, like the common areas and the hotel as a whole, the absolutely charming pool corner in its bougainvilleate crush, and the beach is regularly cleaned, which deserves to be mentioned. In the evening, enjoy a drink in the beautiful wooded bar of the hotel before dinner at the sound of the swimming pool, overlooking the beautiful building of the nearby Southern Star, is particularly pleasant. Very good value for money, crowded weekends, it goes without saying.
NB: Koral Beach also has an annex (on the right when arriving from the Victory Bridge direction Treich-Laplène Boulevard), in redevelopment at the time of writing this guide. Previously a fully-fledged hotel-restaurant in a beautiful garden planted with filatries, royal palms, bougainvillees, cactus and hibiscus, especially renowned for the remarkable comfort of its rooms and excellent pizzas, it should reduce its offer and offer three bedrooms, as well as a seminar room.
