Read moreThe economic lung of the country, the autonomous port of Abidjan, one of the largest ports in West Africa, handles 90% of foreign trade. This behemoth has grown by 12% over the past 10 years (28 million tons of goods in 2021), including more than 780,000 containers. This is just the beginning, as it has just doubled its capacity with a new ultra-modern container terminal covering 35 hectares, inaugurated in November 2022. It will have cost 400 million euros and is equipped with six gantries and 36 electric tractors.
