The famous Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen worked in this Dutch Baroque castle.
This 17th century Dutch Baroque castle cannot be visited, but it was here that the famous Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen worked. A museum has been installed in an outbuilding. In the 19th century, Baroness Stampe invited many artists and intellectuals of her time to her house, including Andersen, to whom the palmipeds in the park's pond inspired the famous tale of the Naughty Boy - the famous tale of the Ugly Duckling. It's true that the same thing is said at Gavno Castle!
