A small town with lakes and wooded areas a few kilometers from Copenhagen in the eastern part of Seeland. Lyngby-Taarbæk, familiarly called Lyngby, will seduce you with its quiet and authentic atmosphere. Its name is mentioned as early as the 14th century. A stopover town on the road to the new castle of Frederiksborg (16th century), it became an important trading town in the 18th century. To see: its 12th century church, a rare example of Romanesque art in Denmark, and the Frilandsmuseet, an open-air eco-museum where the agricultural town of yesteryear is evoked. You will see beautiful thatched farmhouses come back to life with the return of the warm weather!
