Wooden chalets, giant fir trees, Advent candles and thousands of toys: the Christmas fairytale is in full swing under a veil of snow.
In Denmark, Christmas is called JUL. The tradition is very strong in Danish houses. Before starting to open the gifts, families gather around the tree to dance, holding hands and singing traditional songs, making the little ones wait in joy and good humour. Some families do it before dinner. From Saint Lucia, on 13 December, an appointment is made at the Tivoli park. This is an opportunity to try the cold while sipping a hot gløgg and delicious æbleskiver.
