Read moreThe other attraction of CÂmpina. Bogdan Petriceicu's castle (1838-1907) was built between 1893 and 1896 by the history teacher (and instigator of a nationalist current) of the same name in honour of his daughter Iulia. This one, considered a brilliant poet, died of tuberculosis at only 18 years, shortly before receiving a diploma from the Sorbonne, where she studied. Its crude and frozen exterior hides an interior decoration rich in symbols with an abundance of stained glass windows.
