In this village of some 9,000 inhabitants, some fifteen kilometers from the center of the capital, stands a palace that, on its own, perfectly encapsulates the Brâncovenesc style, developed by Wallachian prince Constantin Brâncoveanu at the turn of the 17th-18th centuries. Bordering Lake Mogoşoaia, the complex, which includes two churches, is surrounded by a park where it's pleasant to stroll, especially in summer when the flowerbeds are in bloom.
