Originally from the Danube delta, Olympic canoeing champion Ivan Patzaichin has opened a fish and seafood restaurant in the capital, acting as an ambassador for the culinary traditions of his native region. Housed in a beautifully restored brick building, the establishment is a little off-center, opposite the flower market. The setting, all light blue and wood, immerses you in the atmosphere of the Danube. As for the food, it's simply delicious!

This beautiful Greek terrace, shaded by vines, is renowned for the quality of its fish, freshly grilled before your very eyes: scallops, sea bream, shrimps... For the rest, the menu is short, consisting of various mezzes (marinated olives, delicious homemade hummus...) and one or two courses (salads, carpaccios...). The setting is simple and friendly, with white tables covered with pink-checkered tablecloths. Please note that the terrace is only open in fine weather, in the evening: it closes when the thermometer falls into the negative.

Located in a large glass building, this bar-restaurant is in the chic embassy district, close to piața Victoriei. The decoration mixes industrial elements and jungle atmosphere. Salads, burgers, soups and dishes with various international influences are served: salmon and truffle teriyaki, grilled octopus Mediterranean style... Breakfasts are particularly nice: classic with bread, butter and jam, English with bacon and eggs, pastries, omelettes, etc... It's a bit expensive, but that's what the neighborhood wants!

Part cultural venue, part restaurant, Acuarela is a fresh, colorful little corner of paradise. The terrace is a haven of peace, with its yellow van and multicolored umbrellas. The interior, with its quirky decor and multitude of frames on the walls, is just as charming. Here, you can let your creativity run wild with all kinds of manual activities, as well as enjoying the many cultural events on offer: photo exhibitions, theater, jazz concerts and more. The à la carte menu features simple, homemade dishes such as burgers and salads.

Perched on the ^36th floor of a modern tower, 136 meters above the ground, this is the city's highest restaurant. The extraordinary view over the meandering Lake Floreasca will take your breath away, but certainly not your appetite! The dishes, of Romanian, French and other inspiration, are refined: duck confit, Argentine beef fillet, grilled sea bass... The varied breakfasts are a good option for those who want to enjoy this exceptional setting at a slightly lower cost.

A trendy bar-restaurant with a vintage design, where quality is the order of the day. On the menu, you'll find tapas, gourmet burgers and original salads, as well as some inventive dishes: beef fillet with potatoes and mushroom-truffle sauce, salmon teriyaki, South African curry... It's also a good place for a drink: the cocktails are excellent and plentiful. There's also a wide choice of local craft beers, whiskies, gins, softs and wines (mainly Romanian). Service is impeccable.
