According to legend, seven treasures are buried somewhere in this mountain, whose highest point is 1103 metres. Hence its name, which literally means "seven treasures". If visitors have never found the treasures in question, they can enjoy more than 30,000 hectares of protected parks (mainly covered with forests). The mountain is traditionally divided into three sections: the inner section, the outer section and the seafront section. Each one offers a different perspective, especially in winter when everything is covered with snow. On the side of the mountain is Kaesim-sa Temple, a Buddhist temple built shortly after 820 and restored in 1337. The temple, which includes five separate buildings, houses many statues and paintings of great artistic and cultural value, as well as a 180-kilogram bronze bell cast especially for the site in 1764. A majestic chestnut tree over 200 years old occupies the area and deserves to be admired. Those who have some time to walk can admire rocks sculpted by winds and rains, such as the famous Thajong rock or the rock fortress (Songsae). A break will be necessary to admire the Dokgol waterfall, especially in the middle of summer, where the fresh water is very pleasant!
