HAEBANGSAN HOTEL
This hotel which was built in 1962 is the second second-class establishment to open its doors to foreign tourists in the North Korean capital. It consists of 113 rooms spread over 5 floors, a spa, a Hairdresser, a karaoke, a restaurant and three bars. The rooms are air-conditioned and suitable. Beware, the mattresses that are offered are the local versions and are therefore finer than in Europe, but you can ask for a softer version at the reception. This hotel has the advantage of being very close to the Kim Il-Sung square and the large library. It is particularly frequented by groups of Chinese students travelling or by groups of tourists who have opted for a more economical stay. The restaurant serves only local and Chinese dishes, western dishes can be ordered in advance if needed.
