Temple at the entrance to Moaksan Provincial Park, home to national treasures including the largest indoor Buddha statue.
Just at the entrance to Moaksan Provincial Park, this temple was built under Baekje in the year 599, during the first year of King Beop's reign. The area is full of national treasures (there are no less than 10), including the three-storey Mireukjeon Hall and a spectacular hexagonal pagoda. The site also contains the largest indoor Buddha statue in the world (almost 12 metres), but also a paper replica of the Triptaka Koreana. There is the possibility to spend the night there with the "temple stay" program.
