Nicknamed "La Plage des Enfants" in the 1950s, Langrune-sur-Mer is a quiet, friendly seaside resort. Ideal for lazing on the beach and for water sports activities - its sailing club is extremely active - Langrune also lends itself to fishing on foot, thanks to its vast rocky plateau stretching out to sea, which is completely uncovered at low tide. The village center offers a pleasant stroll through narrow alleyways, beautiful fishermen's cottages, Belle Époque residences and a listed church. A stele on the seafront reminds us that Langrune was liberated on June 7, 1944 by the 48th Commando of the Royal Marines.
