Palace built between 1787 and 1793 with fireplaces and sculptures to house King Frederick William II in summer.
Romantically situated on a terrace by the lake, the Marble Palace is the most remarkable building in the Neuer Garten. It was built between 1787 and 1793 as a small summer residence for King Friedrich Wilhelm II. He wanted to distinguish himself from his uncle and predecessor King Friedrich II, who was fond of rococo, with his neoclassical style. The interior contains numerous marble fireplaces and ancient sculptures. It's like being in Italy!
