The Baden-Baden Casino is one of the most traditional and well-known casinos in Europe. With a 250-year history, it is the oldest casino in Germany. It is located in Baden-Baden's famous Kurhaus, which was built in 1824 by Friedrich Weinbrenner. The building is in the classical style and inspired by French royal castles. Edouard Bénazet, a French entrepreneur, opened the casino rooms in 1855. The casino was reopened in 1950 after being closed during the Second World War.
