You are in the middle of the Middle Rhine Valley, at the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Reserve, which is undoubtedly the most beautiful of the Rhine. This kilometres of valley of by rocky mountains creating picturesque formations is one of the most beautiful river landscapes in Germany and one of the most famous in Europe. St Goar is located in the middle of the Lorelei parade. This narrow passage of the Rhine was for a long time, by the pitfalls that parsemaient it prior to its development in 1832, an obstacle to navigation.
