The village of Chorin, in the Uckermark, is known for its superb Cistercian abbey. The Uckermark is perhaps the wildest region in Germany, with the largest and least densely populated municipalities in the country, covering huge areas of lakes and forests Not far from Chorin , it is not uninteresting to take a trip to the small town of Angermünde, which is pleasant and rich in red brick buildings. Several churches, the Renaissance market square and small medieval alleys decorate this quiet town. Angermünde can be reached directly by train from Berlin.
