To the south of Bayeux, this small town crossed by the river Aure is not really a town but rather a number of hamlets with distinct identities, notably their respective churches. Since the 13th century, the Saint-Martin de Mondaye abbey has been located in the green countryside of the Bessin. In the shadow of Saint-Norbert, its founder, the community of white canons has stood the test of time. This community of monks from the Premonstratensian order, created in the 12th century, does not want to remain apart from the world and therefore welcomes thousands of visitors every year. Many of them come to make a retreat, a break in their lives
