At 40 km southeast of Kerman, the small town of Mahan is a pleasant stopover when the summer sun burns around. From this fresh oasis planted on the desert plateau, we admire in background the tops of the mountains Hesar culminating at 4,416 m. This oasis in its snow-covered peaks (in winter) is a high place of pilgrimage. It is home to the famous Mausoleum of the Shah Nematollah Vali, founder, in the xivth century, of an order of derviches to which current Iranian orders are affiliated.
