Located km south-west of Yazd in the direction of Shiraz. During the hot summer, the Yazdis taste the milder climate of the small mountain valleys of the Shir Kush and the whisper of the torrents. Approximately kilometres south-west of Yazd, Taft, situated in the beneficial shadow of the Menaçant Kush, appears almost as a haven of freshness. A large village of farmers and weavers, they live in the middle of their orchards mainly oriented towards the production of grenades. The qanats, essential to the water supply, allow you to maintain some pretty gardens. Taft is divided equally between Muslims and Zoroastrians. Dwell on the slopes dominating the village, where some Zoroastrians caves and shrines deserve a look.
