Located 31 kilometers from Caen, Hotot-en-Auge is a village in the hinterland of Cabourg, in the valley of the Dives. It is perched on a small hill and dominates the marshes of the Dives, which was an ideal strategic location for the construction of its castle (destroyed in 1944, only ruins remain). One can admire several buildings classified as historical monuments, such as the manor of the Chapel, a building dating from the 17th century, the church of Saint-Georges (with a Romanesque heart, 12th century) or the archaeological site of the fortified house of Ham.
