LE JARDIN DES PEINTRES
Simple cuisine in a quiet and charming restaurant in front of the public garden in Honfleur.
Facing the public garden, sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the port and city centre (but still close, don’t worry), this is a nice place to visit. The setting is a charming heterogeneous one: a small fountain at the entrance, a garden that must be enjoyed on sunny days and you enter the restaurant. A false air of thatched cottage, a wooden bar, works on the Honfleur painters, world map printing tables, a fireplace, photos of boats (Thomas navigates) and, in the extension of the room, canvases on display (hence the name of the restaurant). Halfway between an art gallery and a kitchen, you have not finished making artistic discoveries. On the menu, camembert in a casserole dish, with cold cuts and salad or the homemade hamburger (for example). It doesn’t eat bread (or rather if!) and it’s a treat. It’s good for a relaxed break, at a time when the walker is starving. You will have understood it, a charming place above all.
