Royal Ontario Museum with various exhibits, restaurant and boutique, offering guided tours in French.

Also known as the ROM, the Royal Ontario Museum is one of the world's leading museums devoted to natural history and world cultures. Multidisciplinary, it attracts a wide audience attracted by the eclecticism and sophistication of its exhibitions. Famous for its collections of Chinese antiquities and its Ming tomb, this museum offers a world tour of art and civilizations, in a pleasant setting. About thirty galleries make up this incredible museum, ranging from the era of dinosaurs to the First Peoples, through biodiversity, the age of mammals, the ancient civilizations of Rome, Byzantium and Nubia, or the riches of the Earth. Younger visitors will prefer the bat cave, the CIBC discovery gallery (mini-museum for children) or the interactive biodiversity gallery, to name but a few. Since it would take at least two days to explore it all, without exaggeration, here is our advice: look carefully at the different exhibits offered and choose only two or three to have time to appreciate them. For those who are interested, guided tours in French are also offered and are included in the admission fee. Good idea: the free evening on the3rd Tuesday of the month, from 4:30 to 8:30 pm. Note: there is an additional fee for special exhibitions (see website). Restaurant and boutique on site.
