This small, active port with colorful houses occupies an austere site on a peninsula 230 km north of Deer Lake. Fishing is still the dominant activity here. In the harbour, you can watch the arrival of the fishing boats and the unloading of the famous snow crabs, crustaceans whose meat is finer than that of lobster and which can be recognized by their disproportionately long legs. The purity of the air, the pale blue sky, the bright color of the sea, the stony ground where a meager vegetation clings to, contribute to the charm of the place despite its harshness. Do not miss the national historic site and its archaeological treasures.
