The wilderness of Saint-Félix-d'Otis was the setting for the 1990 film Robe noire, which, with the help of historians, faithfully recreated life in 17th-century New France. Converted into a historical and archaeological site, a visit to the Site de la Nouvelle-France reveals buildings brought to life by characters in period costume (grand reopening for the 2024 summer season). Otherwise, the area is rather quiet, with a magnificent little inn perched between fjord and mountains, Le Perchoir. In summer, you can enjoy the beach at the municipal campground, one of the only public beaches on the south shore of the fjord.
