Founded in 1634 by Laviolette, Trois-Rivières received the title of "Cultural Capital of Canada" in 2009. The city benefits from its cultural and artistic influence - in 2015, it became the first non-European city to receive the title of "City of Poetry" - and there are many renowned attractions, not to mention the heritage and history of Vieux-Trois-Rivières. With hotels for all budgets, good restaurants, friendly cafés and many places to have a drink or party, Trois-Rivières is a destination to discover, for a weekend or more.
