At the confluence of the St. Anne and St. Lawrence rivers, the town takes its name from the seigneury where it was born. You can admire its picturesque streets, its orchards in bloom and the heritage architecture of the Dorion, Gouin-Bruneau and Rivard-Lanouette houses. In winter, a huge village settles on the river for the fishing of tomcod, nicknamed "Little Channel Fish". A true winter tradition, friends and families gather each year in cabins on the ice to catch the fish. There are also a few gourmet addresses, including the Fromagerie F.X. Pichet Cheese Factory, Ferme du Tarieu and Boissons du Roy.
