As the gateway to the Upper Laurentians, La Macaza is within easy reach of Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin and Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. The linear park Le P'tit Train du Nord passes through the village, as does the Rivière Rouge, and Mont Gorille is a great place for hiking. And don't miss the pretty covered bridge built in 1904. La Macaza is also home to Mont-Tremblant International Airport. However, Porter Airlines' winter flights from Toronto have been suspended for the time being. It remains to be seen whether they will be offered for the 2024-25 season. To be continued...
