The locality owes its name to Georges Prével (1822-1885), a merchant of Jersey origin and one of the first inhabitants of the area. A municipality from 1881 to 1971, it is now a sector of the city of Percé. A number of attractions have taken up residence here, including Fort-Prével, renowned for its 18-hole golf course by the sea (various accommodation options available on site), and Le Nordet, an ecotourism center offering accommodation, restaurants, sea kayaking excursions and a Nordic spa in nature. And don't miss the famous Tête d'Indien, a rock that resembles an Aboriginal face and comes with its own legend.
