Furcy is an important crossroads of local commerce with a beautiful little hamlet of houses under pine trees. The NGO, with the help of the EU, has made it a small administrative city, offering many services to local residents, with an Internet cybercafé and photocopiers. The trail from Pétion-Ville (first a road then a track) leads to Carrefour Combite. On the right we are heading towards the church and the market and a trail lined with countryside cottages from the Port-aux-Princians. If you continue straight away, we arrive at a deposit, called Kay Bour Pepe, which marks the beginning of the mountain trail towards Seguin and the Visit National Park. This is the boutique of a friendly merchant of essentials. This is where most farmers, who come from the mountains, sell their products: vegetables, spices, hens… to the Tiny Sara (wholesale merchants) who board them on trucks or trucks to Port-au-Prince and Petionville. The peasants use the money they received to buy, among other things, at  Pepe, what they need, before going back into the mountains…Furcy is forty minutes from Kenscoff. At the turn of the curve, the Selle Massif reveals its splendor: conifers and sheep are appearing. Be careful, all the rooms will tell you, think of taking a little wool, the time is cooler in these mountains than anywhere else in Haiti!
