Located next to the caleta, on the ocean, this restaurant is distinguished by its slightly "chic" side. It has a splendid view (especially at sunset), to accompany an excellent meal in a very pascuan setting. Try the ceviche of course, the camarones al ajillo, the mahi mahi and its camote... the grilled fish with vanilla or red curry are also a delight. The real plus? The cocktails to fall on the ground! Finally, local music concerts are regularly scheduled. An excellent table, one of our favorites.

A very popular address because of its idyllic location, facing the ocean, the surfers and the sunset, and its quality dishes. It is true that between its beautiful terrace and its good food Haka Honu is often unanimous! Everything on the menu is excellent, but try the tuna carpaccio, a real delight with its vanilla sauce and taro puree. There are also fish burgers, seafood salads and coconut shrimp. Hinano, the beer of Tahiti, is available as well as well prepared cocktails.

You can taste a Franco-Belgian cuisine with local accents: raw fish Tahitian style, tuna steak with vanilla, homemade tagliatelle with smoked salmon, beef fillet, ceviche (delicious with its ginger), vegetarian dishes and Belgian chocolates (the mousse for dessert is a must). Very well prepared and presented dishes in this two-storey restaurant on the ocean, run by Delphine, a Belgian. From the starters to the dessert and the wine list, everything is very good. A little expensive, but the flavours are a change from the classic tuna diet on the island.

A good address located in a superb setting, at the edge of the water and a small sandy beach where it is good to take the sun. Just a few tables to fill up on iodine: prawns, tuna, fish and shellfish stew in the bouillabaisse style... everything is fresh, tasty and well seasoned. Discreet service and sometimes a little long when it's full, you mustn't be in a hurry! Go there for the sunset and order a good pisco sour, if you have time also take advantage of the beach which is located below.

An excellent little place serving hearty dishes and run by Ramón, a native of the island. A warm and friendly character, he welcomes all his customers with a smile and cooks with love. The small local dishes are concocted from products from the island. Try the ceviche, the lobster or the fish soup. We appreciate the shaded terrace, ideal on hot days. Ramón speaks French well and allows travellers, for a few pesos, to camp in his garden. In short, a generous and sunny address as we like them.

A kind of small hut installed next to the football field, in the surfers' corner: Gladys sells very hearty tuna sandwiches, churrascos, fish dishes, ceviches... A good plan for those who are looking for a small snack to take away: the empañadas, for example, will do very well if you go on an expedition all day. Choose the cheese and tuna empanada or the vegetarian empanada with mushroom filling. You can also buy fresh bread and sweet tooths can enjoy cakes and pastries.

He goes from table to table to describe and explain the flavours of his menu. The quality is good in a particularly intimate environment (only a few tables). However, the rules are a bit strict (reservation in advance, no children, limited number of people), but the place is really worth a visit.

A nice address that offers different fish and meat à la carte, in a definitely tropical decor. The restaurant also has a pleasant terrace where you can drink refreshing cocktails. You will be warmly welcomed by Jorge, always smiling and in a good mood. Here, we prefer to taste the flavors of the sea: tuna ceviche, camarones al pil pil, octopus... even if we appreciate the sweet and sour associations like the pork with honey or shrimp sauce. A simple cuisine, but still creative, good appetite!

This small restaurant offers only a few tables, most of them are located on the terrace. And it could go unnoticed if the dishes were not so good! We highly recommend the camarones al pil pil, the fish soup and the ceviche of course, absolutely tasty. With a pisco sour as a starter, it's all done! Otherwise, try the natural juices, very fresh, based on passion fruit. It's fresh and delicious. The service is very pleasant and provided by a Chilean owner who was married to a Rapa Nui for a long time. An excellent discovery.

Another address with generously garnished plates! The menu offers a variety of dishes based on fish, ceviches, shellfish and some meats. The place is pleasant with its terrace overlooking the street. The owner, Colette, is originally from the Marquesas Islands: if she is present, you will be able to chat in French! Impeccable service, beautiful presentation and excellent welcome. The local group Varua Ora performs typical Rapa Nui and Polynesian dances every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9pm in the restaurant.

A nice find, although the restaurant is not necessarily easy to find. We come there to taste delicious preparations while enjoying the sunset, once again simply magical... Offers a lot of fishes like ceviche - we talk about the best of the island, tuna or matahuira with sweet potato, served in big shells. Most of the dishes are accompanied by richly flavoured sauces (including an excellent soy and honey sauce). The prices are relatively low for this address which we recommend 100%.

Another very typical and cheap address! At the tía Berta, you can eat delicious empanadas made with meat, cheese, seafood or fish, which can be a meal in themselves. The best known is the tuna and cheese empanada. A simple and generous cuisine that uses fresh products: you can also order a shrimp salad, a vegetarian risotto, lobster or grilled tuna with sweet potato purée. A no-frills address that has been busy over the years.
