This small village of less than 500 inhabitants is today on everyone's lips. Located on the shores of Carrera Lake, 233 km south of Coyhaique and 97 km north of Cochrane, the peaceful village founded in 1955 deserves its name. Its activity is based on fishing and cattle breeding, and more and more on tourism. Indeed, a new trail has been opened in the Exploradores valley, allowing an optimal approach to the eponymous glacier. It is also one of the main entry points for travelers wishing to go to the Laguna San Rafael National Park. You can also go and admire the grandiose capillas de marmol (or marble cathedrals) accessible by boat or kayak.
